Chris Olave Parents and Family Support Growing Up In San Ysidro

Chris Olave parents are Causha Olave and Raul Olave. Chris grew up with his two siblings Isiah and Joshua in San Ysidro, California.

Olave comes from an athletic family where his brother Isiah and Josh are also elite football players.

Chris is a star wide receiver for the New Orleans Saints in the NFL. He was part of the Ohio State team for four years before the Saints picked him in the early round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

And boy! what a pick it was.

Despite his blistering performance throughout the season, the Saints could not qualify for the playoffs as they finished third in the NFC South.

In the final game against the Carolina Panthers, on January 8, 2023, Olave ran 60 yards for a touchdown which was his highlight of the year.

Chris Olave dad Raul Olave was dressed up clean for the draft night. He wore a white suit with a matching hat with an unusual facial appearance.

Raul and Causha were at the watch party for the draft in Las Vegas in April 2022.

Confused about Don Fanucci from the God Father movie, many were convinced because he looked the same.

Similarly, a television host, Jack Kennedy, did not hold back and linked Raul with Indiana Jones this time.

He tweeted with an image of Raul's frightened face, " He is fresh off getting a precious antique robbed back from him by Indiana Jones."

Chris joined the conversation and requoted the post with "Pops Clean" and a laughing emoji.

When the wide receiver's name was called, Raul and Causha's emotions revealed how pleased and delighted they were.

Olave Grew Up In San Ysidro

Chris was born on 27 January 2000 in the San Diego district. Olave has a mixed ethnicity, an amalgamation of Cuban and African ancestry. 

The 22-year-old grew up playing basketball and football in his locality. He attended Mission Hills High School in San Marcos.

Olave played for Eastlake High in Chula Vista for two years before he joined the Missions.

He showed a sign of promising talent from his early years. He was named to the All-League team twice and was regarded as a three-star prospect by recruiting agencies.

Olave was exposed to the vibrant athletic culture of the city while growing up in San Diego, which has affected his choice to pursue a career in football.

He had the chance to hone his abilities and face up against other athletes in the neighborhood when he was a young athlete, not to mention his two brothers, which prepared him for the NFL.

Chris Olave has two younger brothers Isiah Olave and Josh Olave. Both his siblings are football players.

Isiah wrote a letter to Chris after the Saints drafted him for the 2022 NFL campaign.

Chris's face turned from happy to emotional as he gets lost in words. Isiah started with his old bro's full name, "The day is finally here. Congrats on achieving your dreams of playing in the NFL."

He also mentioned how proud his entire family is of him and how they can all now hold their heads high. Additionally, Isiah could relate to all the effort Chris put out to accomplish this and the "never give up" attitude that allowed him to succeed.

Isiah Plays For The Aggies

Isiah Olave is a college football player who plays as a cornerback for the University of California.

He joined the college in 2017 as a freshman and joined the university's football team UC Davis Aggies. He appeared as a defensive back in 11 games, recording 16 tackles. 

In 2018, Isiah shifted to CB and played in that position for the rest of his campus years. He earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 2020. The 5 feet 10 inches tall athlete also played for his high school team from 2014 to 2016.

Josh Is The Youngest

Josh Olave is a senior cornerback for the Weber State Wildcats. He joined the college team in 2020.

Josh was a top prospect when he was playing for Azusa Pacific. He played 32 games in three seasons for the Cougars earning Academic All-Conference honor and GNAC honor twice.

Then in December 2020, Weber State signed him. In the 2020-21 season, Josh played four games where he recorded three tackles. Then in last season, he appeared in three more games and had five impressive tackles.

The Olave Family Moments

Chris Olave family has roots in San Diego. He was born to multi-ethnic parents who have always been into athletics.

The former Ohio State receiver had a humble beginning, not having enough money at home to spend on their needs.

Olave's mom Causha worked two jobs, and sometimes she could not even be home for more than a month.

Meanwhile, his dad did a night shift job for two decades to sustain the household, to raise their three kids.

Chris knows that Causha and Raul built this clan through hard work and sacrifices. 

In November 2018, he brought his entire family to the stadium for an NCAA league division game. After the match, they snapped a picture later, all shining in Ohio's red jerseys. 

They had never been to a Buckeyes game before. And more importantly, It was Causha's birthday. 

On Instagram, Olave shared a photo of herself and her mother with a birthday message. He praised her for all her sacrifices and stated that she was the driving force behind his diligence.
