P.D. James adaptations have always been the bomb. “Queen Of Crime Fiction” writer has written 14 Dalgliesh crime novels which have been made into impressive films. Seven years after the author’s death, her well-written stories are still being adapted into movies and films. Dalgliesh is one of her works which is based on three of the many bestselling novels in her collection; Shroud for a Nightingale, The Black Tower, and A Taste of Death. Acorn Media started filming the series in December 2020 on the Net.
The show was officially renewed for a second season in March 2022. Season 2 premiered on Acorn TV on Monday, April 24, 2023 and on Channel 5 on Thursday, April 27th at 9 pm.
