Eddie Guerrero or Shawn Michaels?

This was a really easy one for me. Shawn Michaels by an absolute mile. HBK accomplished so much more in his career than Eddie Guerrero ever did, and unfortunately, due to Guerrero's untimely passing, he will not be able to build upon his legacy, whereas the retired but still living Michaels could do so if he so desired (although I doubt he ever will). And all of HBK's accomplishments and accolades occurred in the big leagues, whereas much of what Guerrero did was in his pre-WWE days.

I think Eddie Guerrero was a very interesting and talented performer with loads of charisma, and it's really unfortunate that he passed well before he should have, especially with the way he turned his life around and cleaned his act up. But I also believe that as unpopular an IWC sentiment it may be, his accomplishments in the ring have been over exaggerated. While we will obviously never know, it would be interesting to see how his career would have gone had he lived a little longer. I think Eddie Guerrero was a very good wrestler, but not truly a great one. Much like Owen Hart, his untimely passing elevated his stature in the eyes of professional wrestling fans beyond where he truly deserved to be. To compare his career to Shawn Michaels is silly; Michaels' career is so much superior to that of Eddie Guerrero in pretty much every way.
