Goldie on BMF is not based on a real person but a fictional character based on different people. Goldie represents a generic of people having similar traits.
Randy Huggins, the BMF creator, earlier revealed that he tried to make the series as accurate as possible. However, he took a few liberties to make the show interesting. The character of Goldie was possibly based on a real person with some modifications, including a name change.
In the TV show, Goldie is a strip club owner in Atlanta who goes on to form a partnership with the Big Meech and Southwest Tee. The alliance helps the Flenory brothers to make their move from Detroit to Atlanta.

Talking to Jill Munroe from EURweb, Mo'Nique opened up about her character in February 2023.
The actress said, "You know, Goldie is [for me] that sister in the community as she really dug her community and made sure her community was good. Everybody may not have liked the way she took care of the community but, nonetheless, she took care of her community. So, I think [with Goldie] she's warm, she fell alone. But, don't regret if she has to send you on your way."
Mo'Nique also added that her character was loosely inspired by her aunt Vera, a 475-pound woman who didn't adore the rules of the traditional society. According to the comedian, Goldie is a villain for some and a hero for others.
As of 2023, Goldie has appeared in three episodes of BMF season 2.
People get confused with the character Monique on BMF and actress Monique playing Goldie in BMF. But they are different people.
