Tony’s interest in golfing arose when he was just 7 years old. He was watching TV, and this was the first time he was watching golf.
Tiger Woods was competing, and when Tony watched Tiger Woods dismantle his opponents and smacked the ball across yards, a fire lit in him, and he wanted to do it as well.
At that moment, he thought that maybe he could do it too and make it big one day.

At the age of 11, just four years of golfing, Tony and his family moved to Los Angeles, and that’s when Tony was able to practice on a bigger field.
He began participating in various events with more opportunities; he played extremely well despite not having proper coaching.
There was a difference between Tony and a golfer who has been coached properly and learned in a better environment, but he was performing well considering his training.
By 2006, Tony was already good at golfing and could match other proper golfers.
In 2006, Finau claimed the Amateur Championship of Utah. This was his first-ever tournament win.
